Good management of water resources helps increasing agricultural production

By studying specific water requirements of crops in relation to local soil and climate conditions, and vegetative stage, it’s possible to optimise irrigation timings and amount of water needed, and to maximise efficiency in irrigating shifts. This can help reduce water consumption and at the same time increase crops production.

ACCBAT project aims at sharing international expertise and good practices on water management in agriculture, to train local stakeholders, farmers and institutions, for better agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability.
